"Hi," Elle drawls happily, leaning in to give Mindy a one-armed hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I am so glad you're in because I have an amazing surprise for you." It's taken her a while, but she knows she's done it, she's made it happen. Of course, whether or not Rene proves himself truly worthy of Mindy remains to be seen, but she's developed faith in him. And, well, if it doesn't work out, at least he'll be awfully pretty to look at for a while.
